I thought this would be an interesting article. We’re focused on young Bo Nix taking the snaps for a while but what about after him? Who will the passer be? Today I’m showing you who that could be. The players are in no specific order. Enjoy.
Chayil Garnett
Chayil Garnett, a 3-star freshman at Auburn, might be that guy. He’s got a nice smooth arm. His high school coaches say he’s a leader and he makes those around him better. Those are important things to look for in quarterbacks.
Kyron Drones
Kyron Drones is Auburn’s top quarterback target right now for 2021. He’s pretty fast and very mobile. He’s got a nice arm too. He seems like a player that wants to learn. Auburn’s looking for that.
Quinn Ewers
Quinn Ewers, one of the top recruits in the 2022 class, is already developing a relationship with Chad Morris. Ewers will likely be the best quarterback in the prospect rankings soon. He likes Auburn, but we aren’t the favorite.
Cade Klubnik
Klubnik, another top 2022 prospect, is also high on Auburn. The Austin quarterback is also getting to know Chad Morris. Like Ewers, Klubnik is in the running for top passer in the 2022 rankings.
Ty Keyes
Ty Keyes, a 2021 passer, loves Auburn. He draws comparisons to former Auburn quarterback Jeremy Johnson. But Keyes is more accurate. He’s also a lot like current Auburn quarterback Chayil Garnett (listed above).
Sawyer Pate
Sawyer Pate is a guy who no one knows of. He committed to walk on at Auburn in 2020. He’ll be a freshman. While his highlights are impressive, the chances of him starting one day are weak. But I listed him because stranger things have happened. Heisman winning Baker Mayfield was a walk on.
Cam’Ron Ransom
Ransom is a dark horse to sign with Auburn in 2022. He’s got some offers from big schools and I think he’ll be a nice addition if Auburn can add him. But since there’s not much info on him, I can’t tell you much.
Myles Morris
Myles Morris, another 2022 prospect, could be the Tigers quarterback of the future. He’s got a modern arm and valuable dual threat awareness. I’m exited to see where he ends up in the 2022 rankings. Something that could help Auburn land this interesting prospect is the fact that Morris’ mother went to Auburn and Myles was a big Auburn fan growing up.
