Jalen Green is about to go pro in the G-League

Over the last 24 hours the development has been made based on some insight and clues that Jalen Green won’t be playing college basketball. Green was down to Auburn and Memphis. But now he’s going pro. While this decision isn’t official, the web is exploding with news of this and I’d be absolutely mind blown if he chooses Auburn or Memphis. At least Auburn will finish up strong to this class ranked 8th nationally. But looks like Jalen Green is pretty much off the radar at this point. This is too bad for Auburn and Memphis fans but this is just something you have to deal with in modern college basketball recruiting. Can you really blame Green? He won’t get paid anything in college. And it’s not like he needs a better education. The man is going to be in the NBA for 15 years so I don’t think he’ll really have to make a living off of business. Green will play in the G-League for a year before entering the NBA Draft. During that year, he’ll make about $125,000. But assuming Green enters the G-League, it would be weird because this is what he told 247 Sports.

“I’ve been seeing that, and I want to let everyone know that, that is not an option,” Green said about going pro. “I’m considering college only. I’ve been looking at things saying I’m going pro, but that’s not the case, I am going to college.”

Strange right? Well, War Eagle I guess.
