Auburn received big, but quiet news recently. Aidan Marshall, who left the team in 2018 after losing the starting punter job to Arynn Siposs, who’s now in the NFL. With few punters on the roster, Marshall had an opportunity, and took it.

Wearing the same number he did in his previous time at Auburn, as #41, Marshall appeared on the updated Auburn football roster. There is an article about those updates below.

Marshall is a junior, meaning he will likely start for Auburn the next two seasons.

The Tigers also brought in Oscar Chapman from Australia. He may be in a battle for starting punter, but it’s unlikely that he’d win with Marshall’s experience. But Chapman can sit behind Marshall and wait his turn. Then he too, should be a great punter.
