My problem with Tua Tagovailoa’s draft hype

Tua is a name everyone knows. The former star Crimson Tide quarterback has had his draft stock on the rise recently despite an injury that kept him out of his last two games in 2019. He’s obviously good. There’s no doubt, but here’s my problem with the recent hype in the draft noise. Tua is a gunslinger. He’s an accurate passer. Or is he? You’re probably saying, “yes Tua is very accurate” but is he really? He had a fantastic season in 2019. But guess what he also had. The 4 best receivers in college football to throw to. What I’m saying is, what if Tua’s true accuracy isn’t being displayed. Alabama had Jerry Jeudy, Henry Ruggs, Jaylen Waddle and Devonta Smith last year. Four incredible receivers. To go along with that, Alabama played few talented teams this year. So it’s an easy throw for Tua because of the quick route running by the receivers and they do the rest. In the NFL, it likely won’t be an all-star offense like it was at Alabama. And besides, Tua will get injured in the NFL sooner or later. I can even easily see Tua’s entire career being ruined by injuries just like Andrew Luck. So NFL teams, don’t be so quick to draft Tua Tagovailoa. He might be a bust.
