Assuming we have a 2020 football season, today I’ll rank the top 10 quarterbacks in the SEC. Enjoy and share with friends.
1. Kyle Trask / Senior / Florida
Despite having only eight games of starting experience, I expect Kyle Trask to dominate the SEC in 2020. The steady pocket passer lost some key wide outs, but I don’t think that will change his performances.
2. Kellen Mond / Senior / Texas A&M
Kellen Mond has had his fair share of ups and downs. But I think he’ll have a big up in 2020. Mond has the fire power to win an SEC Championship. That’s why he’s the #2 quarterback in the SEC.
3. Feliepe Franks / Senior / Arkansas
The former Florida quarterback might have found a perfect fit in Arkansas. Feleipe Franks has the tools nessesary to finally gie the Razorbacks hope.
4. Bo Nix / Sophomore / Auburn
After a mostly solid freshman year, Bo Nix looks to thrive in a new offense. Bo has some very reliable receivers and all the attributes to be one of the league’s top passers in 2020.
5. KJ Costello / Senior / Mississippi State
The grad transfer from Stanfod looks to improve in a hostile conference. KJ Costello needs a strong season to keep his NFL hopes alive.
6. Mac Jones / Senior / Alabama
After going through the Tua and Jalen Hurts years, it seems that Alabama is back to their traditional quarterback. Mac Jones still has to win the starting job over Bryce Young, but I like Jones’ odds for now.
7. Jamie Newman / Senior / Georgia
Jamie Newman is a good quarterback. Is he as good as everyone thinks, probably not but in Athens, he’ll have a chance to prove the critics wrong.
8. Terry Wilson / Senior / Kentucky
I can’t wait for the return of Terry Wilson. The dual threat menace will eat up opposing SEC defenses. After suffering a bad injury at the early stages of 2019, Wilson looks to bounce back.
9. John Rhys Plumlee / Sophomore / Ole Miss
John Rhys Plumlee, as Auburn fans remember, gave the Tigers a run for their money in 2019. The fast speedy passer was a problem in his freshman season.
10. Jarrett Quantano / Senior / Tennessee
Jarrett Quantano is a decent quarterback. Should he be the #10 spot or the #11 spot? I’m not sure but for now, I’m putting the veteran over the young Ryan Hilinski.
